Cardi B voices plans to quit music and become a politician after going to school

Award-winning rapper Cardi B

could be about to quit the music scene.

The American songstress, 27, expressed her hopes of swapping her chart-topping music career for becoming a politician.

Unveiling her shock decision in a series of tweets, the rapper shared her plans to return to school and focus on a career in politics.

She tweeted: “I think I want to be a politician. I really love government even tho I don’t agree with Goverment.”

Keen to show there was method behind her madness, the mum-of-one explained she was inspired for the possible change of career by war documentaries and her love of America.

In a follow-up tweet, she said: “Like I was watching War documentaries. No matter how many weapons a country have you need people !

“How are you trying to go against a country and possibly start a war when this country lacks patriotism? I barely see people claiming they LOVE being American.”

She later added: “I will have to explain a lot so I will have to do a video or a live talking about it …So imma come back to my last two tweets another day. Imma talk about it another day .”

Cardi voiced her determination as she claimed she wanted to go back to school and focus on politics so she could make her dream a reality.

The singer claimed to have many ideas she wanted to put forward and she said she just needed to top up her education to make waves in politics.

She later wrote: “I do feel like if I go back to school and focus up I can be part of Congress.

“I deada** have sooo much ideas that make sense. I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table .”

Cardi, whose real name was Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, was met with a mixed response from her 8.8million followers.

Many trolls quickly pointed out her “poor” grammar in cruel mocking tweets.

One keyboard warrior wrote: “You’re going to need more school than that. Your spaces are off too…but hey, how can we hold you accountable for kindergarten level s***, am I right?”

Others added: “‘I deada** have soo much ideas’ its so many first of all. no way in hell you can be a politician. just looking at your tweets the ideas you have will make no sense.”

But a handful of her fans rushed to her defence.

Others commented: “Someone can be naturally intelligent and still use poor grammar due to their environment & education.

“And what she said did make sense, it just wasn’t grammatically correct. They aren’t the same thing.”

“No need to go back to school if you don’t want to! you can learn plenty from folks already fighting in movements, and read up on your own or with others. you’d be great.”

“I’d like to see this. Cardi B would better represent the voters of her area better than most of the people in Congress.”

Cardi has always been outspoken with her views on politics.

But last year, the rapper responded to the resurfacing of a video in which she discussed the years in which she worked at strip clubs.

Cardi admitted she “drugged and robbed men in order to survive” in her stripper days.

Recalling the difficult situations that she found herself in, Cardi said in the video: “I had to go strip, I had to go, ‘Oh yeah, you want to f*** me? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let’s go back to this hotel,’ and I drugged n***** up, and I robbed them. That’s what I used to do.”
