With shades on his head ready for the fierce sun, Declan Donnelly looks delighted as he arrives in Australia for the new series of I’m A Celebrity
He smiled and gave a thumbs up after landing at Gold Coast Airport.
The star, who was dressed all in black, flew from the UK with wife Ali and their 14-month-old daughter.
Dec, 44, will co-host the ITV reality show alongside pal Ant McPartlin, 43.
Talking about another of their forthcoming programmes, Dec has revealed he was so excited about discovering more of his family tree that he took 25 relatives on a summer holiday to visit graveyards.
He spoke about the unusual trip ahead of ITV documentary Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey.
Talking about the final resting place of his great-great-great-great grandad John Donnelly near Slieve Gallion mountain in Co Londonderry, Dec said: “Finding the grave was the most incredible thing.
“This summer my whole family went to Ireland and visited that grave. Three brothers and three sisters and 25 of us took over a hotel in Northern Ireland and visited all the graves.”
He joked: “I know how to show them a great time. I am a hoot on holiday…
“It was great. Finally we got a little bit of history and a little bit more sense of self.
“We are Irish back to day dot.”
