Dramatic first images from the set of the new James Bond film show the aftermath of an explosion.
Panels are ripped from the walls of the world famous 007 stage at London’s Pinewood Studios.
Debris lies on the ground next to the gaping holes in the side of the building.
Ambulance vehicles are seen parked up amongst the chaos.
Panels next to the huge 007 sign affixed to the side of the studio are missing.
The pictures have emerged after a crew member was injured on the set.
However, bosses insisted the explosion was a controlled one and that only one crew member outside the stage sustained a minor injury.
It has been reported that staff were left needing medical treatment after “three huge explosions” on the set of the 25th movie in the spy franchise.
Bosses quickly took to social media to set the record straight.
A tweet from the official James Bond Twitter said: “During the filming of a controlled explosion on the set of Bond 25 today at Pinewood Studios, damage was caused to the exterior of the 007 Stage.
“There were no injuries on set, however one crew member outside the stage has sustained a minor injury.”
The Sun had reported that staff were left “seriously hurt” and that the explosion took part of the roof and at least least five wall panels off the famous 007 stage at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.
It was also reported that the staff member was crushed by part of the set which fell on him.
A source said: “It was utter chaos.
“There were three huge explosions and it’s blown part of the Bond stage roof off and some wall panels off the stage. They were supposed to be filming.
“A fireball was supposed to go through the set. That was the stunt but something has gone horribly wrong.”
They added the place was put on “lockdown” after “three loud explosions”, but Bond officials have spoken out to say that’s not the case.
It’s the latest drama to hit the movie.
Last month, star Daniel Craig was left needing surgery after an accident.
The actor was set to undergo minor surgery on his ankle after an accident on the set in Jamaica.
Daniel will need to take two weeks off from filming to recover from the operation.
Despite his unanticipated break, the film remains on track for the same release date, bosses have said.
A tweet from the official James Bond account said: “BOND 25 update: Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica.
“Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery. The film remains on track for the same release date in April 2020.
