But his contract in Manchester expires next summer and speculation continues over his next move.
Guardiola was reportedly approached about the possibility of coaching Argentina following the 2018 World Cup.
Brazil have also been linked with the 49-year-old, although he has previously said it is “unlikely” that he would ever take charge of his homeland, Spain.
And when asked whether Guardiola would consider the Brazil job Pere told Globo Esporte : “Brazil has won everything with Brazilian coaches. I think you have good coaches, you don’t have to have only foreigners.
“Pep has a dream of coaching a national team someday, but we’ll see how it goes; what will be the moment, if he will receive an offer.
“It is not something for the present.”
Brazil last won the World Cup in 2002 with Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and co.
Since then they have reached a solitary semi-final but remain an attractive proposition.
Guardiola’s next move has been the subject of much speculation with the two-time Champions League winner very particular about the kind of environment he works in.
He was heavily linked with Juventus before Maurizio Sarri succeeded Massimiliano Allegri in the summer.
A return to Bayern has been closed off after Hansi Flick was appointed permanently while Joan Laporta, who appointed Guardiola at Barcelona in 2008, has sensationally claimed he wants him back at the Nou Camp should he become club president.
